The vehicle is equipped a rebuilt NOM period correct 396 roller motor with an upgraded HEI ignition, stock manifolds, Tremec 5-speed transmission, power steering and front disc brakes. Details
The car is finished with a new Regal red base coat/clear coat paint job. This was an original red car with an R paint code. Paint quality is great; it shines like glass with no swirl marks, rock chips, etc. The quarter panels, doors and fenders are all super straight. The doors are rust free and show all the original factory seams. The sheet metal appears to be all original with the trunk floor being replaced. Outstanding overall appearance.
New Rally rims (upgraded to 15”) along with red line radial tires set this car off. The vehicle has new weather stripping, window fuzzies and gaskets. The car’s stance looks right and has those classic lines of a 60’s muscle car. The windshield and windows are all new with no scratches. The bumpers and emblems are new and the window moldings have all been buffed to a high shine. The front grill and headlight bezels are new. Also new are the rear fascia and tail lights. The exterior needs nothing. This car turns heads every where it goes and will provide years of pride in ownership you can only find in cars of this quality.
The interior is also new; carpets, door panels, seat covers, headliner, dash pad, everything. It is equipped with the original gauges to monitor engine performance along with the ‘knee knocker’ tachometer. All the instrumentation and interior lighting work. The radio is an aftermarket AM/FM unit. The original steering wheel is like new, not a scratch on it. Seat belts are original and in very nice condition. Inside the trunk is the spare red line tire on a Rally I rim along with the correct bumper jack, base and handle. The trunk is detailed and presents as factory stock appearance.
Drive line consists of a rebuilt NOM 396, 360 HP (roller cam- spec sheet included) that has been rebuilt (have copy of receipt) along with a brand new overdrive Tremec 5 speed transmission and a 12 bolt 3:73 posi rear end. The 5 speed Tremec shifter provides a very solid shift. Car retains its original intake and cast iron exhaust manifolds. A new HEI distributor, starter, 100 amp alternator, new battery, 4 barrel Holly carb with electric choke, belts, hoses, etc, etc, all complete this highly detailed engine bay.
Underneath, the frame and undercarriage on this car are super clean and tidy still possessing most of its original factory undercoating. This SS Chevelle is also equipped with a newer exhaust system, shocks, front and rear sway bars, new front disc brakes and new suspension parts. A new gas tank also installed.
Vehicle is a pleasure to drive. It steers straight and under hard braking stays straight. The alignment is good. It starts with the 1st turn of the key. It is fast….an adrenaline machine.
