MotoeXotica is offering this beautiful Light Ruby Red 1974 Honda CB400 Super Sport. It is in original, unmolested condition and will make either a nice weekend rider or possibly a collectible piece of music-related memorabilia because this motorcycle was once owned and maintained by the lead singer for the band Green Day, Billie Joe Armstrong. This Honda comes with a Letter of Authenticity signed by Michael Manning, production/fleet manager for Green Day. If that wasn't enough, there is also a signed guitar by Billie Joe himself!

This Honda CB400 is equipped with a 408cc SOHC four-stroke, four-cylinder engine fed by four 20mm Keihin carburetors. Power is transferred to the rear wheel by a six-speed manual transmission. Driver assist features include front disc and rear drum brakes. This Super Sport rides on telescoping forks in the front and a swing arm and adjustable shocks in the rear. The 18-inch staggered wheels are shod with performance Avon tires.

This cycle pulls well from a stop, the engine is high-revving and with six gears to choose from, you'll find your left foot busy when you want to make the most of the engine. It accelerates well from 0-70 mph, steadily from 70-90 mph and eventually from 90 mph onward. Instrumentation includes a speedometer with trip odometer, tachometer, oil lamp and neutral lamp. The seating position is slightly bent forward, giving a dominant street fighter feel, which is well-balanced at normal speeds but at speeds above 80mph, you get the urge to crouch over the tank to reduce wind drag.

The Honda CB400F (a.k.a. 400 four super sport), was introduced for 1975. It was a compact bike which was developed from, and improved upon, the previous CB350F with uprated performance via larger valves and a six-speed gearbox. It also offered updated styling, a neat offset chrome four-into-one exhaust system, flatter angular fuel tank and flat side panels with transfers instead of badges, low handle bars, footrests set slightly rearward and a studded seat. The 400 four is equipped with both side and center stands, which are handy for maintenance. All of this gave the bike a sporty café-racer look and feel and its ride and handling were said to be excellent at that time. These components put together made for a universal bike which was easy, exciting and smooth to ride in various situations.

The light middleweight Honda CB400 has become quite desirable and fashionable once again, gaining respect in the classic market. In addition, this is also a great opportunity to acquire a  genuine piece of music memorabilia from one the greatest vocalists of modern times! GET OUT AND DRIVE...er RIDE!

Other vehicles associated with Green Day that we have available include a 1976 Honda CB750 café racer owned by bassist Mike Dirnt and a 1949 Ford Club Coupe owned by lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong.

Current mileage on the odometer shows 32,800 miles, sold as is with a mileage exempt California title in Billie Joe Armstrong's name.
