For Sale: 1970 Chevrolet Nova in Arlington, Texas

Vehicle Description

1970 Chevrolet Nova

With the 3rd generation of Novas arriving in 1968, Chevrolet completely redesigned the look from years prior and created a vehicle where there was no doubting it belonged to the muscle car family. 2 doors and a fastback style roofline gave it the profile that everyone now associates with the late 60s and early 70s. This 1970 Nova is an original Texas car that was purchased new in Fort Worth and it has since lived its entire life in the area. It came out of the factory in a light green color but was repainted about 8-10 years ago in the Burgundy color you see today. Custom White side stripes were added and are similar to what you would find on the Yenko cars. The stripe really accents the bodylines and looks perfect on the car. The car is not a true super sport but does were the SS badging. All of the chrome and stainless is in great shape with a nice shine. The Cragar SS wheels look right at home on a car like this and are in great shape as well. They are wrapped with Goodyear Eagle ST tires.

Under this hood is a 350 ZZ4 355 horsepower crate motor. It runs well and is paired with a Turbo 350 automatic transmission. Multiple chrome and polished components have been added like the chrome alternator, pulleys, water pump, AC compressor, valve covers and air cleaner. In back the car has the original 10 bolt rear end that is stock to the car. The suspension has recently been gone through with the car receiving an all new front end which includes upper/lower ball joints, tie rod ends and frame bushings. It also has all new sway bar bushings and coil springs. The brakes were also redone with all of the components being replaced including the new disc brakes up front and new power brake booster.

The interior trim and panels are all original to the car except for the front door panels which were replaced. Aftermarket high back bucket seats were added and upholstered in a Black and Burgundy combination to match the paint. The car is a factory AC car but a new Vintage AC/Heat unit was added two and a half years ago. A custom center console sits between the front seats with a B&M shifter mounted to the floor. The dash components are mostly original except for the added underdash gauge pod and tachometer. A custom Grant GT steering wheel was also installed and looks great. The doors and quarter windows have been entirely rebuilt which includes the winding components and all seals. With age older window cranks can become a headache so they were totally gone through to insure they will wind up and down smoothly for many years to come. The trunk of the car is painted black and still houses the original spare tire and bumper jack which are always cool features to have.

This classic Nova has a great look and runs well. If you are in the market for a solid muscle car at a great price then look no further!
