For Sale: 1967 Chevrolet Corvette in Halton Hills, Ontario

Vehicle Description

1967 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe - For Sale, One of Less Than 20 Ever Produced 1967 Corvette Sting Ray Coupe LMC is proud to offer for sale this outstanding ’67 Corvette Sting Ray Coupe Chevrolet Corvette, C2 for 2nd Generation and also known as the Corvette Sting Ray, is an American sports car legend produced for the 1963 to 1967 model years. The radical exterior styling of this generation was very purposeful, with peaked fenders, a long nose and a short, bobbed tail that Chevrolet designers bragged about as ‘looks most stylists would be too timid to even suggest’. The 1967 Corvette Sting Ray was the last Corvette of the second generation, and five years of refinements made it the best of the mid-year era. Changes were again modest such as five smaller front fender vents replaced the three larger ones, a new single backup light mounted above the license plate, and the previous models' wheel covers gave way to slotted Rally wheels with chrome beauty rings and lug nuts concealed behind chrome caps. Interior alterations include revised upholstery and the hand brake being moved from beneath the dash to between the seats. Coupes were rare representing only 8,504 for the production year that put 22,940 Corvettes on the road with the original buyer considering a base price of $4,353. This Corvette Coupe was built in St. Louis during the last month of production on July 5, 1967 and was shipped to Les Vogel Chevrolet in San Francisco, California as per the NCRS Shipping Data Report  The black trim vinyl interior is well suited against the attractive (Code 976) Marina Blue exterior and is visually pleasing coupled with the black stinger hood. This Sting Ray is powered by a numbers matching L68 427 Turbo Fire 400HP Tri-Power engine, equipped with the ultra rare factory air conditioning option. Additionally, being connected to a Powerglide Automatic Transmission is an extremely rare combination. Sitting on Red Stripe tires mounted on the proper “DC” Corvette Rally wheels to finish off the impressive exterior look. The driver sits in the factory black interior with the rare (Code A82) Headrest option.   The original owner checked off several other options and comfort features, as noted on the Corvette Order Copy: Air Injection Reactor, tinted glass, telescopic steering column, power windows and most notably the very rare factory air conditioning. A true California black plate Corvette, this wonderfully original car has experienced an easy life as it spent most of its years within a 25 mile radius from new until only recently. The previous caretakers were wise enough to retain the all import factory documentation, some of which include: NCRS Validated Corvette Order Copy / Tank Sticker, the Purchase and Sale agreement from Dick Bullis Chevrolet 1968, along with its California black licence plates that its has had since 1968, Protection Plan / Protect-O-Plate, AM-FM Radio Guide/Booklet, Dealer Brochure and original Owner’s Manual complete with service and mileage notations. Many things make this an extremely desirable and a highly collectible Corvette.  Not only does it have full and real documentation, numbers matching motor but it's one of less than 20 ever built by the factory.  All combined, this package is a rare and unique opportunity to purchase a truly collectible, sought after and most certainly an investment grade Corvette.
