Vehicle Description
This car was built in California and spent most of its life there. It has never been rusty. Part of the paint is original. The floors, trunk floor and chassis are amazing.
The Lucerne Mist Poly paint should be redone. Part of it was. There is a difference in shine. The bumpers are fantastic and original. The trim is nice. We have a set of five Olds rally wheels in the trunk. The chrome slots are my personal favorites.
The bucket seat interior is Parchment from the factory. The seats had cloth inserts sown in at sometime. The head liner has also been redone. The original door panels, as well as a new set, are in the trunk. You can decide if you wish to cut them for the door speakers.
The center console and tachometer make this car special. It also has a padded dash. The original AM radio is in the trunk. An 80’s vintage stereo is present and working.
This is a factory air conditioned car. That makes sense, as it was in California. It has power steering, but manual brakes.
The A/C still holds a charge, but I am not certain how to start it.
The 330 V8 is likely original to the car. The 2-speed Jet-away Automatic transmission has been rebuilt and works properly. This is the factory four barrel engine with high compression. It now has an Edel brock carburetor. It has factory dual exhaust.
The trunk is full of what you need to put the car back together. We didn’t because we have no idea which direction you are heading.
Right now, I am heading to a big cruise night. I am anxious to display this gem. It is a fantastic F85.
