Vehicle Description
This example of the iconic 1957 Corvette is fully restored and presented in expertly finished Venetian Red with India Ivory coves over red interior and white soft top. According to the data in the Corvette Black Book, the factory delivered just 716 Corvettes in two-tone Venetian Red for 1957.Under the hood is the factory optional 245hp version of the Corvette 283 V8 (RPO 469A) featuring dual Carter 2626/7 S four barrel carburetors, light weight cast aluminum intake manifold, and finned alloy valve covers. The FG suffix in the serial number of the block indicates it was originally mated to a Powerglide automatic transmission, but a period correct 4-speed manual was substituted in the restoration to more properly suit the high performance nature of the dual quad engine and sporting color combination. The car is further equipped with the Wonder Bar signal seeking radio, heater/defroster, wide whitewall tires, Positraction rear end, and spinner wheel covers.
