Vehicle Description
This rugged rig came to us from Eastern Washington. The climate and lack of road salt has been kind to it.
It has virtually no rust. The only bit of rust is in the inner front fenders. The common spot where the horns are mounted was repaired. The paint is older, but looks great.
The body was lifted and new suspension installed. There is a power steering kit that has yet to be installed. For you serious off-roaders.
The Buick Dauntless V6 engine was an attraction for me. These little workhorses have plenty of spunk and very reliable. This one runs great.
This is a 4×4, so it has a manual transfer case and manual locking front hubs. All are working fine.
It rolls right along at highway speed. The oversize tires help with the overall gearing. The aggressive tire tread is almost new.
There is a roll bar. We have a new soft top and the bows to go with. This rugged rig could turn into quite a toy.
It looks great, runs great and has lots of fun left to offer. You don’t need to make repairs, just add gasoline and enjoy.
UPDATE:
I just participated in an AMC/Jeep show at the home of the former AMC Prez. Mike Spangler. This Commando came home with second place in the Jeep Class.
