For Sale: 1977 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme in Ellington, Connecticut

Vehicle Description

1977 Olds Cutlass (S) model (survivor) 40,409 actual miles equipped with an Olds 350 V8 engine. Automatic three speed transmission, power steering, power brakes. AM/FM radio for your listening pleasure. A rear end gear ratio of 2.41 which makes it great for highway cruising.

This car was originally purchased by a local man in March 1977 from Manchester Motor Car Sales in Manchester Connecticut. He documented almost every transaction related to this vehicle beginning with and including the business card of the salesman he purchased a car from.In the documentation you will find a little blue book with the very first entry dated 38 1977 noting and odometer reading of 16 miles when he filled the gas tank for the first time. From that point on everything and anything related to this car was noted in the little blue book with all receipts and documentation.

The car begins its journey with with him doing his due diligence and research on the Olds. In a consumer report article dated Feb. 2,1977, this you also find together with documents and receipts pertaining to this Oldsmobile. The original window sticker was removed prior to delivery and discarded. Included you will find every vehicle inspection and omissions receipt pertaining to this Oldsmobile. The original owner
was very partial to Tan, his wife preferred maroon, so the outcome of the compromise was maroon interior for the Mrs. and buckskin metallic exterior for the Mr. He drove the car until the age of 76 when he passed away. Upon his death his son was bequeath the car where it remained at the family home and driven only occasionally until in 2011 the sons own classic car collection grew larger than he expected prompting him to place the Olds for sale. That being said in 2011, I was given the opportunity to purchase the Olds. I have driven this car and enjoyed it taking it to local cruise nights as well as car shows. In 2013 I entered the car in the 17th annual New England Oldsmobile club car show advertised is the largest all Olds car show in the east . There the Cutlass was awarded runner-up in the original unrestored survivor class receiving a plaque.

Since I had the Olds I endeavors to maintain the car to the previous owners standards. I will includ all receipts service records, and warranties for work performed since I've owned the car. To date the following services have been performed on the Cutlass; rear axle fluid and gasket; transmission filter, gasket and fluid; engine oil and filter in addition to a new distributor cap, rotor, spark plug wires, and spark plugs. The carburetor filter plus air cleaner, PCV and EGR valves were replaced. Upper and lower radiator hoses, engine thermostat, heater hoses and many of the vacuum lines are also new. Windshield wiper blades were replaced. I installed a new battery and complete exhaust system as well as new shocks. The brakes are nearly new. The overall condition of the car is excellent. It is a SURVIVOR. Original paint and interior. It does have an aftermarket under the dash air-conditioner which he had installed on August 31, 1985.This was another option he insisted on because they had both recently retired and wanted to enjoy the occasional Sunday drive in comfort. I can attest when driven responsibly this car can achieve 20 miles per gallon on the highway and floats down the road like on the cloud.

I have been commissioned to sell this car and all information was supplied by the current owner.
