Vehicle Description

I made a friend because of this car. I saw it at a car show and was very impressed. The builder and a bunch of us went to breakfast. I enjoy his company and respect his craftsmanship. I would consider him my friend. Now that he and his wife are expecting their third child, he desired a more “family friendly” hotrod. So we worked out a trade. He is more than happy to answer your questions. He started out with a Cain roadster body. That was in spring 2011. He already had a good Chevy 305 and THM transmission. He bought ’32 Ford rails, boxing plates and crossmembers from Yogi’s. And it was ON! I watched his online journal of the build. It took just under 2 years for completion, testing, revision and final detailing. I saw the car at a show in the spring of 2013. His craftsmanship, especially on the chassis is quite amazing. Certainly his fathers influence and his carrier in metal fabrication are the reasons for his skills. The frame work, mounts, suspension and accessories are all personal designs and creations. The fact that he painted the chassis white makes it even more special. This car was built for reliability and safety. His family spends their summers driving and showing their hotrods. This car was not built to be a trailer queen. A very comprehensive list of components is available. I will list the most important. Dual master cylinder with under-dash mounting, GM Metric front disc brakes on drilled/dropped axle, truck-arm rear suspension with adjustable coils for 3.73 S-10 rear axle, Vega steering, SW gauges, Gennie shifter, 32 Ford chrome windshield frame w/2? chop, chrome steering links, 37-41 Ford spindles and king pins, Holley fuel system, Endurashine intake and carburetor by Edelbrock, etc. This list is six pages long! What captured my attraction is the colors and the way the car “pops”. I liked the tribute to a 60’s build. The white interior, top, firewall and chassis makes the brilliant green metallic paint stand out. The chrome adds to the flashiness of this hotrod. The choice of wheels and tires is perfect. The interior started out with a Model A bench seat and the miniature green steering wheel. The faux pleated vinyl was a perfect choice for the 60’s look. Dynamat was used to deaden both the sound and vibration. Courtesy lights, 12 volt outlets, door poppers and remote trunk release are nice convenience features. I believe this is a great hotrod. It will capture attention everywhere it goes. You can drive it there with confidence. I am proud to offer my friends self-built hotrod. But I am even more proud to call him my friend.
