Vehicle Description
This 1928 Harley-Davidson motorcycle is an excellent example of one of the most iconic motorcycles produced during the 1920s, the JDXL Sport Solo. The owner notes that, during the restoration, considerable time and attention was given to accuracy and detail and that correct parts were used in order to maintain historical integrity. The handlebars are original Harley-Davidson bars and specific to the Sport Solo model. The tank, clincher rims, and brakes are all specific to this model as well. Considerable effort was put into sourcing the correct parts needed to bring this JDXL back to life. Particular attention was given to the restoration of the the running gear. The engine and transmission were completely rebuilt, with less than 200 miles on them since the restoration was finished in 2005 and, of course, it has that iconic Harley-Davidson rumble when running. Any enthusiast or serious collector would be fortunate to include this motorcycle in their collection. Sold with a recent registration and title.
