It is powered by the 3.7L DOHC V6 with Variable Valve and Lift Control and produces 332hp. Power delivery to the rear wheels comes through a new 7-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. Compared to the 350Z, the 370Z has a wheelbase 4" shorter and an overall length 2.7" shorter. Contributing to the lighter weight of the 370Z is the use of aluminum for the front sub frame, engine cradle, door panels, hood, and hatch. The 370Z uses a front double wishbone suspension, with forged aluminum control arms and steering knuckles, the rear multi-link suspension uses forged aluminum upper control arms, lower arms, and radius rods. All in all, this is a well-engineered speed machine that is a joy to drive on any road!
