For Sale: 1972 Chevrolet C/K 10 in Lutz, Florida

Vehicle Description

Sometimes the best muscle car is really a truck. This extremely well done 1972 Chevrolet C10 has the right look, upgrades, performance-built V8, and attitude to be a very mean machine.

The first thing you notice about this truck is the paint. The medium metallic blue is a great modern color that helps it instantly identify with its custom nature. Plus, the Chevy bow tie in the grill and center caps on the 5-star alloy wheels have been painted to match. This blue has a fantastic presence in the sunlight with a deep metallic luster that comes from a real investment in professional paint. If there were any kind of imperfections in the laser-straight body, it wouldn't be able to hide from the deep shine. This paint also helps to highlight the chrome elements in the wide grille, bumpers, and the door mirror that has been re-mounted on top of the doorframe for a nice customized touch. Clear lenses up front and a custom taillight panel help add to the one-of-a-kind attitude. The stepside pickups were originally built for a functional purpose, but now their rarity has made them a highly desired stylized touch on the vintage market. One of the reasons for this, too, is they still carry the real wood in the bed. The allure is especially true on this one where the gloss on the lumber rivals its metal locking plates for shine.

Inside, this pickup is a great mix of original elegance with plenty of upgrades for more modern style and comfort. The dash and doors have been painted the same great exterior blue. The seats have the original-style intricate pattern famous on these C10s, and the door panels match that black. You'll slip behind the aftermarket steering wheel that provides much more chrome than the original, and the wood rim is a nice upgrade from stock. This smaller diameter was a no brain-er upgrade because the truck now has power steering. From behind this wheel, the driver has the comfort of a tilt column and a full set of factory gauges that includes a tach. For truck people, the comfort of vent windows and sliding rear glass is usually all you need, but just in case you want more, there's ice-cold R134a air conditioning to keep everyone comfortable.

Under the hood is where this truck really sizzles. It's a 350 cubic-inch V8 crate motor that was installed than 3,000 miles ago, and it has been built to impress. Every inch of this small block Chevy was made to shine - from the valve covers to the master cylinder. And that purple piping just loves to standout. But this Chevy wasn't just built for show...It was also made to go eat the streets. It includes performance upgrades such as an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock performance intake, and TBI aluminum heads. There's a wicked sound as the long tube headers immediately connect to glasspack-style mufflers before exiting underneath the performance pickup. Making sure all the power gets to the ground in GM's stout three-speed automatic that feeds the 12-bolt Positraction rear end running a 3.73 ratio. It hooks up nicely thanks to the massive 295/50R15 rear tires. But more than just a pure muscle machine, this pickup has an easy-going side, too. The independent front end has been thoroughly rebuilt and includes disc brakes. In the rear is a trailing arm suspension that makes this generation's ride superior to even more modern pickups. The motor is even backed up by an aluminum radiator with dual electric fans so you can drive anywhere at any speed with confidence.

This truck has a real aura of authority at first glance, and the sound from the aggressive exhaust note means you won't be disappointed! It's the truck that leaves you wanting for nothing, and it leaves everyone else in your wake. Call today!!!
