hubcaps with steel-belted wide whitewall tires and chrome doughnut
exhaust rings. This '55 T-Bird is a very well-preserved example of
the classic American roadster. It has the highly desirable factory
porthole windowed hardtop. The restoration was undertaken with an
eye to keeping this T-Bird as close to the way it rolled off the
assembly line. The body boasts correct panels, gaps and fit with an
eye toward originality throughout. This interior is expertly
restored and presents extremely well with finishings, gauges,
knobs, and controls all in great condition. Ford's Thunderbird was
created to act as an answer to Chevrolet Corvette, but rather than
becoming a rival of the European sports cars, Ford created a
completely new market segment around the Thunderbird - a personal
luxury car while still a performance car in its own right. View
