The 57 Chevy is one of the most stylish and recognized icons in the automotive industry and there is no doubt that it is one of Americas best and most loved cars. This car is also known as the no post Hardtop Sedan, which refers to no side pillar/post between the side front and rear windows. This California built car features a 283 V8 with a Powerglide automatic transmission and dual exhaust that emits a nice quiet deep sound. The red paint is in good condition and still has a nice shine. The body is straight from front to back. This Bel Air has a nice list of original luxury options such as Tinted Windows, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Power Windows and the very rare Power front seat. The interior has been changed to luxurious tan leather seats, leather door panels and a leather covered dash which is a great compliment to the red exterior. The dash panel is stock and features the original AM radio, clock, gauges and steering wheel. The original gauges show clear lenses and good original markings and the bright trim across the center of the dash still looks good. The chrome bumpers are in good condition and the trim still has a good shine. The white sidewall Bias-ply tires with the Chevy wheel covers keeps the exterior appearance correct for the period.
