Vehicle Description

This restored 1967 Kaiser Jeepster Commando in Red with Black Interior is so cool. Outstanding condition throughout, this rare Commando is powered by the desired 225ci Dauntless (Buick) V6 Engine, backed by a 3-Speed Manual Trans. All-Wheel Drive AWD. Odo shows 91,453 miles. Updated with Offenhauser Intake Manifold and Valve Covers, Holley Carb, and All New Wiring. New Upholstery, Carpet, and Soft Top, with Dynamat Soundproofing throughout. Crager Chrome Wheels (stock wheels and hubcaps are included). This particular Jeepster Commando is a 1967 convertible model from the Kaiser era. It combines the optional 225-cubic inch "Dauntless V6" producing 160HP instead of the base "Hurricane" inline-four that generated a measly 75-ponies, with an all-wheel drive system. This completely restored Jeepster, (older restoration), shows very well throughout with a nicely finished undercarriage, and it runs and drives excellent. Well maintained, properly serviced and caringly stored, this Kaiser Jeepster Commando will make a fine addition to any garage.Considering its unusual capabilities, the Kaiser Jeepster may just be the most versatile collectible vehicle of all time, with the ability to morph into any of several different vehicles in just a few minutes. Want a convertible? You got it. Need a pickup truck? No problem. Family wagon? Consider it done. All it takes is some hand tools and a little time. Aside from its amazing versatility, the Jeepster also has great styling and plenty of power for traveling the highway. Add in a fair degree of comfort and you soon realize that the Jeepster's a pretty good all-around collector car.Willys-Overland Motors introduced the Jeepster nameplate after the end of WWII as the company attempted to create a vehicle that would bridge the gap between trucks and passenger vehicles. The original Jeepster was produced from 1948 to 1950. After Kaiser absorbed Willys-Overland Motors in the mid-1950s, the company re-introduced the nameplate in 1966 with the new Jeepster Commando that proved to be more successful than the original model. It was eventually offered in three body styles including pickup truck, convertible and wagon. The Jeepster remained in production even after Kaiser's acquisition by American Motors Corporation in 1970.For more information on this outstanding 1967 Kaiser Jeepster Commando, or any of our 40+ classic and collectible cars always in stock, contact one of our friendly and knowledgeable sales consultants today or always feel free to drop by our 5-acre Park Place Center in Bellevue, WA - Home to the West Coast's Most Diverse Inventory of Luxury, Exotic, Collectible and Special Interest Automobiles with 150+ Always on Site.
