Vehicle Description
The Ford F-Series was redesigned by Ford for 1953 with a more integrated look. The pickups also obtained their widely familiar names: The F-1 now became the F-100 the F-2 and F-3 now became the F-250 and the F-4 now became the 1-ton F-350. Optional interior amenities were new including a dome light lighter arm rests sun visors and a radio. The year that the F-100 was introduced Ford celebrated its 50th anniversary and apparently decided to throw a party for the working class to mark reaching "golden" status. With its passenger cars sporting a fresher look in 1952. The 1953 model year wouldn't pass without a mention of Ford's 50th Anniversary somewhere. On the F-100 it was the horn button that received the golden anniversary treatment with a special gold rim that called out "50th Anniversary 1903-1953."Painted in a bright turquoise paint this 1953 Ford F-100 truly stands out. Clear glass bright chrome bumpers and trim and a classic wooden bed finish off the stunning exterior. Inside is just as exceptional as the out with a custom turquoise and white interior that includes Air Conditioning. Under the forward tipping hood is a 350ci Chevy Small Block power plant mated to a 700R4 Automatic Transmission. A 10-Bolt GM rear-end spins the 15Eagle Alloy Wheels. Power Brakes and Power Steering make this truck a joy to drive plus the addition of power windows make the cruise even more of a pleasure.
