The Chevrolet Impala has been in production for model years 1958 to 1985 1994 to 1996 and 2000 to present. The Impala derives its name from the African antelope of the same name. Redesigned in 1965 for its fourth generation the Impala set an all-time industry annual sales record of more than 1 million units in the United States.The 1969 Impala and other full-sized Chevrolets got new slab-sided bodies with a small "upsweep" at the rear quarter window giving them a more formal appearance. It retained the 119-inch wheelbase from previous models.This Grotto Blue 1969 Impala Convertible has the original Numbers Matching 396ci Big Block Chevy engine under the hood. It comes equipped with a Turbo 400 automatic transmission with a 12-bolt rear end power steering power front disc brakes air conditioning power windows and a power white convertible top. The 17 aluminum rims are wrapped in Michelin Pilot HX MX4 all season radial tires.The exterior is in wonderful shape. The front has a full wrap around chrome bumper and hide away headlight while the hood has a carbon fiber scoop. All the factory trim and moldings are present and in great condition. Dual exhaust lead out to a set of chrome angle cut tips out the back.The Interior is also very nicely done in a custom white vinyl with blue accents including a blue Impala emblem on the rear seat. The factory dash is black with all factory gauges and warning lights intact and working. Aftermarket gauges have been cleanly installed under the dash as well as a delay wiper unit. The inside of the convertible is black and very clean matching the black carpeting throughout.All in all his convertible is a true head turner. With its bright blue paint chrome accents and white top and interior it is sure to be a crowd favorite.
