Vehicle Description
1957 Cadillac Seville
When it comes to class and luxury the Cadillac is king. With long
bodies, unique fins, lots of chrome, and all of the latest greatest
features the 50's Cadillacs had it all. These cars have become
quite sought after in recent years with one 57 Cadillac Seville
setting a record at Mecum a few years back after it was sold for
$150,000. The 1957 Cadillac Seville you see here is a beautiful
example of one of these cars and was very well built. It has been
slightly modified from original to transform it into a very
comfortable driver. That being said it still has all of the correct
50's accents and from the exterior you would never know any
modifications had even taken place. It was completed 2 years ago
and has been very well maintained since. It was entirely gone
through with the floor pans and trunk pan being replaced. The body
is in good condition and solid with no rust issues. Painted in a
Black Cherry Metallic the car shines beautifully out in the sun. In
certain lights the car can take on an almost Black appearance and
this color really suits the car well. All of the original chrome
and stainless is in place and the car wears one of the coolest
looking grills found in the classic car world. All of the glass is
in excellent shape and with the windows all rolled down this
hardtop classic takes on a very cool appearance. Original wheels
and hubcaps are tucked under each fender and wrapped with wide
white wall tires which this car wouldn't look right without.
Under the hood is the 365 ci original dual quad motor paired with
an automatic with overdrive transmission. The motor has that
original factory appearance except the triangle air cleaner has
been changed from Gold to the match the Black Cherry exterior. It
still has the Gold Cadillac valve covers and Blue Cadillac block.
You may be wondering where those modifications we mentioned early
are. Well that comes into play with the Fatman front end, power
rack and pinion steering and power all wheel disc brakes. These
subtle changes keep the car looking like a factory but give you the
ability to drive very comfortably down the road.
The interior is finished out in a Black and White color combo that
is in great shape. The tuck and roll style upholstery works great
on the bench seats. All of the original knobs, gauges, and switches
are found on the dash and all work properly. A custom steering
wheel tops off the tilt steering column and is painted two tone to
match the rest of the interior. The AC/Heat works properly and
utilizes nicely mounted vents below the dash. The trunk is done in
White and Black to match the interior and houses the spare
tire.
When you are driving a classic Cadillac, you can tell the quality
that was put in it from the beginning.
