The refreshing includes: a complete rebuild of the original drivetrain, carburetors, and distributor; new brakes; new carpets; new Al Knoch seat covers; a new off-road exhaust system; and a new correctly dated Al Knoch soft top. The car has been masterfully detailed to present “as new.” It’s this rare combination of originality and outstanding condition which earned the car a NCRS Top Flight Award, with a score of 98.4, at its first judging event, in September 2012, and makes it a 1959 283/270hp 4-Speed roadster in a class of its own.
