Vehicle Description
1964 Chevrolet Corvair
The final year for the first generation of Corvairs came in 1964
and although the styling went mostly unchanged this year brought a
lot of engineering improvements. Larger motors, redesigned
suspension and improved brakes greatly improve the performance.
This 64 is a nice running car with a great look. It lives with its
second owner and has been well cared for its entire life. The four
door body is in good shape and coated in the stock GM light blue
paint. All of the standard trim is nicely mounted in place with
shining chrome bumpers in front and rear. The glass is free of any
damage throughout and has a slight tint. All of the lights work
with no electrical issues. Stock wheels and hubcaps sit under all
four corners and are wrapped with brand new tires.
In the rear you will find the 110hp 2.7L motor that was entirely
rebuilt just 250 miles ago. Steve Goodman at Rear Engine
Specialists did the heads and carburetors so you know it was done
right. The car starts up well and the 2 speed powerglide
transmission moves through the gears smoothly. Other recent
mechanical changes include all new bushings throughout and totally
rebuilt brakes.
The interior of the car is done in Black/Gray and has been upgraded
with power front bucket seats out of a S10. The dash is fitted with
all of the original gauges, knobs, switches, etc. The car also has
the original radio and even the original underdash air conditioning
unit. The trunk of the car houses a spare wheel and the car also
comes with some additional parts.
