MotoeXotica Classic Cars is pleased to present this well preserved and fully optioned 1991 Jeep Wrangler Renegade. This Renegade Decor Group optioned Wrangler was purchased new from Sahmer Chrysler, Inc. Harrisville, MO in May of 1991 with only 56 miles on the odometer!
From October 1990 until 1994, Jeep produced an options package on the YJ Wrangler listed as the "Renegade Decor Group", vehicles were shipped to American Specialty Cars (ASC) in the Detroit area, where the Renegade Decor Package was installed, then shipped back to Jeep for delivery to dealers. The Renegade Decor Group was a $4,266.00 option over a base Wrangler for 1991 and included special alloy wheels, exclusive body flares, along with many other features such as off-road gas shock absorbers, power steering fog lamps, (integrated into the front fenders) leather-wrapped steering wheel, Renegade striping (door letters)20 gallon fuel tank console with cup holders courtesy and engine compartment lights, and finally wipers.
Finished in a brilliant Radiant Fire Red with the ($923 optional) black removable hardtop. This Jeep is equipped with the Renegade Decor Group which includes color keyed fender flares with integrated bodyside steps. The front and rear body colored bumpers (with bumperettes) display well and are exquisite. The front grill is in very good condition along with the distinctive hood tie downs. All trim pieces are present and have a great finish. The headlights and taillights are in very good condition with no hazing or cracks.
Inside, this Jeep features optional Highback seats with Trailcloth Fabric grey cloth and the front and rear seats look good with minor bolster wear. The door panels, carpet, and dashboard are a continuation of the interior and look fantastic. The weather-stripping is excellent, with little or no signs of drying, tearing or shrinkage. All the original equipment gauges are well placed, have correct appearance as originally designed. The optional tilt Jeep designed leather-wrapped three spoke steering wheel and upgraded Sony stereo are in very good condition.
This 4x4 '91 Jeep is nicely equipped with an extremely desirable 242cid high output inline 6 cylinder engine fed by Multi-Point fuel injection. Power is transferred to the wheels by a TorqueFlite three speed automatic transmission mounted on the steering column. Drivers assist features include power steering, power brakes and shift on-the-fly 4x4. The 15-inch exclusive aluminum alloys with upgraded 31.0 x 10.0-15 Nexen tires.
