GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1966 Checker Marathon Wagon for purchase. The Checker Motor Corporation produced automobiles out of Kalamazoo, Michigan for consumers and fleet purchases. Checker will always be thought of when it came to taxis as many large cities favored them over anything else. Their size for passenger & trunk capacity, robust construction, and lack of annual changes (saving company's money for maintenance purposes) made them the most popular choice. Movies and television often feature the Checker bodies still today when ever they need a taxi in a scene preserving the legacy of the now defunct company.
This is a 1966 Checker Marathon Wagon that was restored as a restomod in Calgary, Alberta and displayed at the Calgary Autorama. No expense was spared to make this car unenvious of anything else on the road with lots of professional work to every aspect. It's powered by a 406ci V8 Vortec engine paired with a 700R4 automatic transmission with the work done by Temple of Torque. The custom paint was done by Crosseyed and it is nearly perfect from any angle. This stud custom ride also features a Nav/DVD/Rear Camera, Clarion stereo system, posi rear end, power 4-wheel disc brakes, powder coated frame & suspension, Connolly Leather interior, Billet aluminum wheels, Auto Meter gauges, Magna Flow dual exhaust, all fresh mechanicals, and more!
