This beautiful 1970 Chevy Chevelle is a complete, frame off
rotisserie restoration. Its since been in three car shows and won
first place all three times!During restoration, every nut and bolt
was either restored or replaced with OEM original or remanufactured
parts. The vehicle was meticulously painted silver and black, with
extra coats applied.This 1970 Chevelle SS 396 has the Original
Turbo 400 automatic transmission and a 2600 RPM torque converter.
The engine is not original, but is a period correct 396. An
external vacuum pump was added to insure proper operation of the
power brake system. The current owner has been using the same shop
in Houston for over 30 years. They performed a complete rebuild of
the engine, including boiling the block, boring and installing new
Speed Pro pistons, and 280 hydraulic cam. The Edelbrock Performer
intake has a 750 cfm carb on top. Hooker headers are ceramic coated
and the stainless exhaust system with Flowmasters and the correct
tips are brand new. It is designed to run on 92 octane pump
gas.This Chevelle comes with power steering, power front disc
brakes, a tilt wheel, air conditioning, center console, bucket
seats, horseshoe shifter, dash pad, seat padding and seat covers.A
new vinyl top was installed as well as a headliner. Under the
carpet, Dynamat insulation was installed for better sound
deadening. A RetroSound radio producing 200 watts looks very
original, but comes with a remote and matching Pioneer speakers.
All the interior is new, the only original components are the seat
frames and springs.The chrome is original as well as the glass. The
exterior chrome has been carefully hand polished. The original rear
end was completely dismantled, cleaned, painted and put together
with new splines. The original springs are in excellent shape and
still on the car, along with new Bilstein shocks.She sits on Crager
SS wheels and 60s on the front and 50s on the back. The original
gauge shows 43K miles and it has been about 650 miles since the
restoration. The original gauge cluster and AC system goes with the
car, as well as a copy of the photo album. This "show winner"
