1969 Chevy Impala Convertible SS 427 / 425 hp Frame off restored rare L72 427 / 425 hp SS Impala Convertible. This is the right one.This Impala is numbers matching, fully documented with its original owners Protect-O-Plate and restoration photos. Only 546 L72 engines were installed in the full sized chevys in 1969. There can't be many chevy Impalas with the L72 option, let alone a CONVERTIBLE! This was the final year for the SS Impala until 1994.This car's show grade restoration cost was close to $110,000 and is less than 500 miles old.Repainted in its original color of Olympic Gold using modern paints The body : As far as we can tell, all the sheet metal, including the floors and trunk, are original to the car and in spectacular condition--this was never a rusty car. Originally sold new in El Dorado Springs, Missouri. The gaps are exacting, the hood fits right, and the doors close easily. The paint finish is stunning and flawless. The chrome and trim are show-quality, except both front wheel molding have a few minor door ding nicks.A new black convertible top was installed. The Coker red line tires installed on the 15 inch painted rims are like new. The interior was changed from its original Parchment to black, and is like new and really offsets the Olympic Gold color. Correct materials and patterns are used throughout.This car is optioned with the desirable TH400 automatic transmission, power windows, power disc brakes, power top, tilt steering column, rosewood steering wheel and soft -ray tinted glass all around. Included is the original AM radio, now installed is an aftermarket Chevrolet logo AM/FM cassette. The gauges were restored and are flawless, the odometer shows 43,000 which we believe to be correct but with a restored car it will be sold true millage unknown.
