For Sale: 1966 Ford Mustang in Farmington, Arkansas

Vehicle Description

Here is a dazzling 1966 Mustang Convertible GT350 Tribute Resto -Mod, combining Shelby Convertible looks with modern power, comfort and drivability. This black plate, rust free, California car is done in its original one year only color combination of Emberglow and Parchment. We like to call it Project Ember-Go!! Started with a 2 owner, low mileage convertible, virtually every component in the car was replaced with modern components. The engine is an E303 GT40 Ford Motorsports crate motor, with aluminum heads, cobra intake and fuel injected. We added a Vortech S-trim supercharger to add some fun. Jet-coated headers and Flowmaster exhaust takes it out to the rear valance, where it hides just out of sight. Project Ember-Go quenches its thirst via a big 22 gallon fuel tank with an in the tank fuel pump from tank works. An aluminum 1967 big block aluminum radiator, core support and dual fans inside a big block shroud keeps the temp under control at all times. The engine is lowered and set back to improve handling, as is the trunk mounted Optima Red top battery with billet mount. Power runs through a King Cobra Clutch to the Ford racing T5Z 5-speed transmission and spins a one-off custom drive shaft. Sport power rack and pinion by Randals 3.0 means fast, stable easy steering. 4-wheel cobra brakes from Ford Motorsports gives you the WHOA!!! An 8.8 Ford rear end with superior high strength axles and a Detroit Tru-Trac Locker rear end takes all the power Project Ember-Go can dish out. 3.55 ratio means lots of power, but great freeway mileage. Cal-tracs, Alston frame connectors, Maier racing Panhard bar, and big sway bars puts that power to the ground and around the corners. 17-inch Team Three wheels mimic the original pin drive Cobra hoops, and were factory-machined to clear the Cobra brakes. Body mods were kept to a tasteful, but racy minimum with a Shelby hood, GT350 Stripes, side stripes, R Model valance, and side scoops. For safety, the fiberglass hood retains the original hood latch, with the addition of the billet hood pins. All emblems and trim were shaved, and the car was painted in the original Emberglow, using a new European paint just being introduced to the US. Billet Black upper and lower grilles. Ring brothers door handles. Beautiful new cloth convertible top by Robbins. The interior was built for comfort and style. You sit in a comfortable set of the new TMI modified sport seats, built on the original frames. The 14 inch billet steering wheel is perfect for the fast-rate rack and pinion steering. The Hurst 5-speed shifter does its job surrounded by an original full console and custom Emberglow shift boot. A modern air conditioning system utilizes the original controls. Cobra tach, Speed Hut American made digital gauges with lilt analog sweep hands. An original style rally pack now houses the oil and fuel pressure gauges. Lokar pedals and style bar finish off the inside. Call David with any questions 479-366-7716
