ABSOLUTELY AWESOME, FRAME OFF RESTORED, 1951 CHEVROLET 3100 PICK UP, LOADED WITH ALL THE GOODIES INCLUDING A BUILT 350 V8, AUTOMATIC, 4 WHEEL POWER DISC BRAKES, POWER STEERING, VINTAGE AIR CONDITIONING, AND MORE...AMAZING PAINT AND BODY READY TO SHOW AND GO!! If you have the winter blues, this White Chocolate, frame-off restored, 1951 Chevrolet 3100 Pick up might be exactly what you have been waiting for. Classic trucks continue to be one of the hottest categories in the collector vehicle market and this gorgeous restomod is in near flawless condition and ready for action this spring whether that means winning trophies at the local shows, a night out on the town, or sunny day drives with your loved ones. I recently acquired this awesome 3100 from a guy on Louisiana who bought it in 2012 after it had received a professional frame-off restoration. He was actually looking for a muscle car at the time but when he saw this truck he just had to have it. Well, after close to 4 years of owning it and putting less then 150 miles on it he realized that a muscle car with a back seat for the kids was what he really wanted. When the truck arrived the first thing I noticed was just how stunning the 3-stage White Chocolate was in person. Pictures truly do not capture the glimmer of the pearl metallic but I assure you it looks even bester in person then it does in the pics that follow. When the transporter started it up to pull it off the trailer it brought another smile to my face with just the right lope from the built 350 V8 and just enough rumble from the dual flow masters that tell you this truck has it all. While this truck is absolutely stunning and is in near flawless condition it was not built to be a trailer queen. It was built to be driven and enjoyed and has all the comfort features you need to make that happen. I will do my best to provide you with enough large images, a video so you can hear it start up and running, and an honest description so you can determine if this is the Classic Truck you have been dreaming about. As with all of my inventory, I do have this '51 Chevy listed on my website and several others. Therefore, if you determine you need to scoop this Hot Rod up before the next lucky car guy or gal does, feel free to give me a call to discuss how we can make that happen. Sit back and enjoy!! As I mentioned, this '51 was restored a little over 4 years ago. This is an all steel body truck....no fiberglass! The paint is outstanding and is what most people would consider show quality. I was told the paint job alone cost $9000 which is not difficult to believe. It is a 3-stage color called White Chocolate and has a beautiful pearl metallic tint to it. It is hard to capture this in the bright sun but I assure you this truck looks as good, if not better in person. The body itself is amazingly straight and body panel fit is outstanding. Doors shut very nicely and do not stick out like so many on the market do. I do not see any obvious signs of rust repair in any of the typical spots on these trucks and it is clear that this was a professional restoration. All of the chrome and trim looks like new. Glass is all in excellent condition and was is nicely tinted. The oak wood bed looks amazing with a nice clear finish. The inner walls of the bed were done in a color matched textured finish making them more durable if you want to load up the bed for the shows or cruise-ins. Rear bumper was deleted in favor of a nice roll pan. I had a master pin-stripe artist, Conways Customs, come out and work his magic with just some subtle touches that help make this '51 Pick up even more unique then it already was. The body and paint are near flawless although I am sure the pickiest of buyers might find a flaw or chip somewhere that I may have missed. I noticed a few tiny chips on the running boards that were touched up. This is definitely a truck that will get you all the attention you can handle and will win its share of trophies at the shows. I think the walk around tour of the body below will tell you the rest of what you need to know. Complimenting the White Chocolate metallic exterior of this '51 is an awesome Red and black interior that is super comfortable and still retains an original type look with the right modern touches to make it much more functional and comfortable. The bench seat is covered in a super sharp looking red and black pattern and I believe it may be real leather although so many of the synthetic materials out there today look and feel like leather. The previous owner referred to it as California Cowhide seating which leads me to believe it may be leather. Regardless, it looks awesome and is very comfortable. A removable center console sits in the middle of the bench seat offering the driver and passenger an arm rest, cup holders and a bit of storage. There are 3 seat belts across the bench seats so if you and the Mrs. want to put your little one between you like back in the day you can do that securely. Awesome matching headliner and door panels add just enough color to brighten things up. Checking out the rest of the cockpit you will notice a great looking banjo style steering wheel which is mounted to a Tilt Column. The dash has a great set of Dolphin Gauges to provide you will all the vital info you need while driving. Turn signals with indicators in the dash. Windshield wipers were upgraded to electric wipers. For those of you in the warmer climates you will be pleased to know this truck is equipped with icy cold air conditioning from Vintage Air. Our pin striper also worked his magic along the dash of the truck as well. The only thing you might feel is missing is an updated stereo which would be easy to add. However, I think once you hear the sweet rumble of the ground pounding 350 that might be all the music you need for a while. Sure she looks great, but how does she sound and run you might wonder? Well, no worries as this '51 runs and sounds as good as she looks. At the time of restoration a professionally built 350 V8 pushing out approximately 325 horsepower was dropped in under the hood. Although I do not have build specs it is obvious from the sweet sounding lope that there is a slight cam but nothing radical as it was built to be driven. Edelbrock intake and 4bbl carburetor provide the fuel and a beautiful set of ceramic coated headers breather out through the 2 1/2 inch dual exhaust exuding just the right rumble thanks to the Flowmasters exiting out in front of the rear wheels. At the same time a rebuilt Turbo 350 automatic transmission was mated to the V8 and puts down traction through the 10 bolt rear end with nice, highway friendly gearing. Of course she handles the road beautifully as well thanks to an updated front clip which is believed to be a 70's Camaro or Nova front end with all new components. Power steering tracks straight and true. Power 4 wheel disc brakes make stopping a breeze. You have probably noticed the awesome stance thanks to a slight lowering and a sweet set of staggered Boss Wheels, 20" in the rear and 18's up front wrapped in a great set of close to new radials. You will be proud to pop the hood any show or cruise in as the engine bay is nicely detailed and offered the Chevy orange and just enough chrome. Make sure you listen to the vide to hear how sweet she sounds!! Also, as you would expect with a professional frame off restoration, the undercarriage is nicely detailed and rock solid with no rust issues. Asking price is $41,500 and serious buyers can call me at 770-359-8400.
