This impressive '48 Ford Pickup is a beautiful overall package. Expertly restored, this F-Series has been covered in beautiful Red paint, all metal panels were used during restoration rather than the commonly seen fiberglass reproduction panels. The interior/upholstery is excellent; tan leather bench seat, the dashboard has been painted with the same care and attention to detail as the exterior. Cruising down the road, this truck moves along very well and is nice to drive.
This truck has 'F47' badging and Ford a F47 build plate. 'F47' is a designation for the Canadian Model which had the same specifications as the U.S. counterpart F1 when built, the Canadian Models just had the different F47 badging. Ford introduced the F-Series as a 1948 model with a dedicated truck chassis rather than a chassis based on a car.
