Although considered a replica car, this fun machine has high quality body work consisting of fiberglass and aluminum.
The interior is very well put together and is all about function over creature comforts. VDO gauges mounted on the carbon fiber dashboard keep the driver informed of vital information, an Aces sequential shift system relays optimum shift points, and Willans harnesses keep driver and passenger strapped in for the smile-inducing ride. Another interesting side note is that the seats do not move, but instead the pedals move forward and back with an adjustment knob under the dashboard. This car has side "windows" that can be slid up or down and a top that can be used to cover the whole cabin or used as a t-top configuration. You can always take the doors off completely too if you really want that open feel.
The suspension on this little car is impressive. The front setup consists of double wishbone control arms, castor and kingpin angle adjustment, machined billet aluminum uprights, independent camber adjustability, and adjustable coil over units. The rear suspension components are trailing arms with a live axle. The vehicle ride comfort is very nice especially if you take into consideration how light this car is. Providing excellent stopping power are Wilwood vented discs with 4 piston calipers on the front of the car while solid discs with 4 piston calipers can be found on the rear of the car.
Under the bonnet is a snappy 2.0L 16V Ford Zetec engine with gear selection done with a precise short throw shifter. The engine has Weber Type 2360 ITB's and Webcon Alpha Fuel Injection.
These cars are perennially track day favorites; they handle great, are rev happy, and are just plain fun to drive!
