Only 932 are Special Editions equipped in this powertrain configuration. Standard power was the TA 4.9 Pontiac 301 engine. The optional engine was the Turbo 4.9 Pontiac engine. If you ordered a 4 Speed manual transmission, the only engine available was the LG4 Corporate Chevrolet 5.0 Liter (145HP). GM actually gave the customer a $140 Credit for this Delete Option. The current engine is a GM 350 HO Crate Engine that was rated at 330HP. It was disassembled by Wheel to Wheel Powertrain. Added to the engine were: a more aggressive cam shaft, lifters, rod bearings, heads were street ported and polished, Edelbrock intake manifold, Holley carburetor, Proform HEI Distributor and 1.6 ratio rockers. The rotating assembly has been Balanced. Final assembly was completed and then it was put on the Chassis Dyno to tune. It now has over 400 Horsepower, but looks very stock in appearance. It also comes with the original engine that is complete carb to oil pan on a rolling engine stand. The undercarriage is fully detailed. All the components that are black - have been powder coated
