Prospective showroom buyers would have to choose from six body
styles in both 6 and 8 cylinder engine options.� These included the
Town Sedan, Club Sedan, Victoria Hardtop, Crown Victoria Sedan,
glass roof Skyliner, and convertible drop top Sunliner. �New
features included the 272ci & 292ci V8 options, a sturdier chassis,
wrap around windshield for better visibility, and larger brakes for
improved stopping power! We are very excited to offer this 1955
Ford Fairlane Sunliner beautifully refinished in Turquoise with
code-correct White/Turquoise interior! Power comes from a 272ci
V8-2V offering 162 horsepower through a Fordomatic automatic
transmission.� This example comes highly optioned with Swift-Sure
power brakes, Master-Guide power steering, power convertible top,
Magic-Aire heater/defrost, �push-button AM radio, interior door
sill courtesy lights, interior map light, dash clock, windshield
washer, rear continental kit, fender skirts, dual fender-mounted
mirrors, wire spoke wheel covers, wide whitewall tires, chrome
engine dress up kit, rocker moldings & rock guards, and more! This
fine example has been thoroughly gone through to ensure all
features and accessories are fully functional.� This involved
restoring the original radio for AM/FM frequencies with auxiliary
input for iPods in the glove box by Electro-Tech, Inc. based in
Blaine, Minnesota, replacing the clocks internals for Quartz
movement, updating the battery to a sealed gel Optima brand with
cut-off for periods of storage, adding a 15" manually activated
electronic cooling fan with billet overflow reservoir, added front
& rear seat belts, a 12-volt auxiliary port of iPod & cell phone
charging, and more! Our example was originally built in Chicago,
Illinois and later made its way to Memphis, TN by the mid 1970's.�
Most recently, it was lovingly cared for by its Minnesota owners
parked in a dry, heated garage during the winters, and driven as
often as possible during the driving season over the past 6 years.�
It will be delivered with a 1955 Ford owner's manual and service
specifications booklet. �You would be hard pressed to find another
