Vehicle Description
• Restored in 1995-2000. Award winner at Austin-Healey Conclave.
• True 6 cylinder two seater, one of only 2825 Mark I two seaters made.
• Thermochoke (auxiliary carb) model. This choke is quite effective.
• Frame and scuttle reinforcements added – zero scuttle shake!
• New parts were added or original parts rebuilt.
• Many pieces and lots of fasteners were replated.
• Chrome pieces were replated to high standards by a professional plater.
• Porsche red (Guard red) paint work is still near flawless.
• Two longitudinal white racing stripes at the center.
• The side shift tranny and overdrive were rebuilt by Bruce Phillips of Healey Surgeons.
• The head was reworked with new valve seats and roller rockers were added.
• The flywheel was lightened to 21 pounds as I recall. Revs smoothly and quickly!
• The engine has been painted and detailed.
• Many of the original fasteners replaced with stainless steel.

• Custom fabricated aluminum air channel above the muffler.

• Fresh air duct rerouted and features a diverter to the heater fan. Huge improvement in fresh air to the cockpit!

• Wheels are English made Compomotive Minilite reproductions (aluminum).
• Spare is original stamped steel wheel
• Leather seat surfaces.
• Custom made center armrest sporting beverage holders resembles the original but is elevated.
• Interior light controlled by door switches.
• Steering wheel is a period Derrington with correct Derrington boss.
• Front bumperless.
• Original Lucas driving lights mounted on specially fabricated brackets.
• Rear bumper beautifully plated and can be removed with brackets for a bumperless rear.
• Almost new, rarely used off white soft top on an excellent top frame.
• Lots of other special, unique mods!
Weaknesses
• Burns and blows some oil. Bottom end of engine not rebuilt during restoration.
• Speedometer reads steady but high.
