This good looking 1973 Jeep Commando 4wd is in great shape and runs even better than it looks. It comes with the original AMC 304ci 8 Cylinder (Rare!), Automatic transmission, Custom Dual Fuel Tanks, Original Dana Spicer 20 Four Wheel Drive Transfer Case, Original Dana Spicer 44 Rear Diff and Dana 30 Front Diff, Warn Locking Front Hubs, Hardtop, and Original Jeep AM Radio. The body on this Commando is in great condition overall. The paint on the Jeep is all brand new, and looks amazing in Avocado Green Metallic. The outside shade was a bit darker on the repaint than the original color, but contrasts nicely with the brighter Fairway Green on the dash and door panels. The body on the jeep is all steel and is very straight. The interior floors and inside of hard top were all sprayed with durable, washable, and slip resistant rhino liner and tinted dark green to go with the overall green color scheme of the truck. All glass is original on the truck and in great shape other than 1 star on the windshield on the far passenger side. All original rubber seals are still in place and the rig is overall pretty wind and waterproof. The truck was given a wider rear stance thanks to tasteful fender flares and small bolt on spacers behind the rear wheels for a safer, wider rear stance. The chrome wheels look nice on the truck and are wrapped in brand new tires. The interior is in great shape all around. The original seats have been recovered in fresh black vinyl and are all in great condition with no tares or rips of any kind and no signs of wear. The dash is crack free and in nice shape with all correct gauges in place and everything functioning as it should. Another extremely rare thing about this Commando is the original, Jeep AM radio and speaker, which was rarely ordered at an extra cost! Mechanically, this little Commando runs GREAT! The jeep starts right up and blows no smoke or has an hesitation. The 304ci V8 moves this Jeep around with ease and is actually quite peppy, and I would lean towards a fresh rebuild sometime in the recent past..this thing just runs to sweet! The carburetor and intake manifold are Edelbrock performance upgrades and new fuel pump and tank cleaned out. The Jeep is very tight and the cooling system keeps the motor cool even in the Arizona heat. The four wheel drive system functions perfectly and the locking hubs work correctly. All brakes were fully serviced and work perfectly. The electrical system was updated and the original Motorola alternator was replaced with a more dependable AC Delco alternator/regulator combo. This jeep is extremely reliable and starts right up every time.
