Vehicle Description

In 1968 Chevrolet launched the second generation of the Chevelle. The 1968 Chevelle got an all-new sculpted body with tapered front fenders and a rounded beltline. Hardtop coupes featured a semi-fastback flowing roofline and a 3 inch shorter wheel base than the 66 67 models.This Chevelle started as a Malibu 2 door Sport Coupe but from there things got a bit different.Now protruding from the engine bay rests a Blown 454 Big Block Chevy motor. Sitting prominently on top is a Polished Weiand 671 blower with 2 Holley 4150 Supercharger 750cfm Vacuum Secondary Carbs. Its all Chromed and polished aluminum under the hood. Aluminum water pump and aluminum heads. March Performance Serpentine pulley drive and brackets billet MSD Distributor and 6AL Box Blaster 2 Coil. An Aluminum Radiator and win electric and an Optima Red top battery. Hooker Competition Headers with an Aluminized dual exhaust. When this monster roars you feel it as well as hear it.The exterior is a work of art. Custom black gloss paint with wild color graphics all painted and clear coated. A nice black vinyl top adds a classic look to the car. The chrome bumpers molding trim and handles are very clean and bright. The Chevelle is dressed in SS396 emblems and Chevelle badging. The front is modernized with HID headlights. It sets on beautiful 17in Boyd Coddington Aluminum wheels wrapped in BF Goodrich Comp TA tires. P245/50R17s on the front with P255/60R17s on the rear. The braking has been upgraded with Wilwood 4 piston calipers 4 wheel drilled and slotted rotors and a hydraulic booster. A Turbo 400 Automatic transmission with a Bandit Shifter sends power to a 12-Bolt rear end. Finally power steering finishes of the package.The Black and Yellow interior is just as customized as the exterior. Custom high back buckets and matching rear seat and center console. Securing the occupants into the seats are RCI Racing Harnesses. The Chrome tilt column has a nice custom aftermarket steering wheel. The door panels are stock as well as the rear quarter panels cranks and interior handles. The dash is all black with a carbon fiber insert and all white face Auto Meter gauges. There is a Timing Controller for retarding the boost built into the glove box. In the custom center console is the Bandit shifter Boost Gauge and a Panasonic AM/FM/CD player. A Bass Controller is installed cleanly under the dash driving twin Punch 12in subwoofers in the trunk which is custom paneled as well dressed nicely in black and yellow. The interior is kept at a comfortable temperature with Air Conditioning.This Chevelle was built to run as well as for show. There are so many details to this vehicle; it really has to been seen to gain a full appreciation.
