The chopper craze really took off during the 1970's, starting from a need for bikers to make quick and necessary repairs, and very quickly turned into a custom building marathon. Thanks to the efforts of thousands of bikers across the United States, and popular movies such as "Easy Rider", suddenly everybody wanted to customize their rides. This custom chopper is built from a custom Atlas frame back in 1999, this has all the basics you would expect, a solid powder-coated frame, with a rigid hardtail rear. The engine on this is a crate S+S 96 Cubic Inch Super Stock engine. With this V-Twin sitting there generating over 92 horsepower, this bike is ready to pop the clutch and take off. Also added is the belt drive primary, giving you ultimately better power transfer and versus the old chain drive primaries. The transmission is a standard Harley-Davidson style 5-speed manual, giving you solid control over all the gears as you run through them. Braking is made easy with custom GMA brake calipers, allowing you as much safety as you would need when it comes time for a hard stop. Besides the bike being heavily chromed as all old-school choppers should be, this one was also adorned with a custom hot-rod style paint job, complete with high gloss paint, flames, and flaming eye-balls on the front fender and gas tank. To complete the look is a set of twisted spoke chrome wheels, which really show off the bike perfectly.
