Vehicle Description
In 1970 the C-series 911 was introduced. All engines got a 4mm
larger bore that upped displacement to 2165cc. Some other changes
were made to the engine, and because of the increased power the
clutch diameter was increased 10 mm. The new engine has only small
differences between European and US specifications. The Super model
or S now sported the new 2.2 litre engine with 180 hp @6500 rpm.
This 1970 Porsche 911 S is nearly all original with a recent
concourse quality respray in the original Light Yellow. The example
presented here, the 292th of only 1,744 built for the 1970 model
year. Fewer than 400 are said to have been delivered to the U.S.,
where they bore a base price of $8,750. According the the Porsche
COA issued on October 14, 2008, this outstanding 911 S was
delivered with options of Antenna Left, w/Loudspeaker and noise
suppression, US equipment, Comfort Equipment for 911 S and tinted
glass. Later upgrades include factory Fuch 7J x 15 alloy wheels and
