1932 Cadillac 370B V12 Imperial Limousine in St. Louis, Missouri

Vehicle Description

This 1932 Cadillac 370-B V-12 is an extremely well preserved and well cared for older restoration.   Riding on a 140" wheelbase, with all factory presentation and a gorgeous 7-passenger seating interior! Only showing 48,000 original miles and once apart of the famed Matt and Barbara Browning Collection (Browning Firearms) in Utah adding to its collectability. This Cadillac features rare stainless steel wire wheels and formal glass divider window that were originally ordered when this car was purchased in 1932!  Cadillac rolled out a V-12 for the 1931 model year nine months after the introduction of its legendary V-16. The V-12 was essentially a sixteen with four fewer cylinders; it delivered 135 brake horsepower and 285 pound-feet of torque in its original form and was installed on what was essentially a Cadillac V-8 platform, resulting in a well-balanced automobile with good handling. It became famous as a good performer and was available through 1937 with many of the same luxurious, hand-built Fisher and Fleetwood body styles as the V-16. This particular car was originally sold new in Atlanta, Georgia by the Martin Cadillac and Oldsmobile Company. As a Seven Passenger Imperial Sedan (body style #32-12-263), this car has a great solid body that is very tight and is numbered as 78. It was ordered with dual side-mounted spare tires with metal covers, two rear jump seats, a divider window, a luggage rack, and the rare stainless steel wire wheels. This is all originally ordered with the car, as well as the mileage being shown of 48,000 miles. Our Cadillac V12 Imperial has been consistently maintained, both cosmetically and mechanically. The car doesn't rattle, creak, or groan.  It's hood fits the radiator shell and cowl with proper alignment. The paint is in good condition while showing minimal signs of wear in the expected areas, but it has a great gloss and shine to it. This Cadillac's chrome shows really well, the headlights, driving lights, tail lights, horns, radiator shell, and bumpers are all in excellent condition. As for the interior of the car, it only gets better. The front driver's compartment is in formal black leather, which is super clean, while the rear passenger compartment is finished in a tan cloth material.  The interior is very clean with inlaid and polished wood trim, rear ashtrays, window shades, two folding jump seats, a center armrest and vanity lights in the back. This Cadillac still has all of it's proper interior handles, cigar lighters, and dome light covers. All of the glass is in excellent condition and all of the windows operate properly, including the ventilated front windshield and the divider window. Every dash gauge and control are in tact, clean, and crisp. Even the steering wheel hardly shows any signs of wear. Mechanically, its just a great car to drive.  It has a smooth and quiet engine.  It doesn't smoke or overheat.  This original 368ci V12 engine (#1301292) starts very easily whether its hot or cold.  An electric fuel pump has been added to aid in priming carbs, but not necessary for operation once running.  Recent work includes rebuilt Detroit Lubricator carburetors, tuned ignition system, and rebuilt water pump.  When shifting, the clutch is smooth and light, and it shifts through gears with ease. Brakes are balanced and stop you in a straight manner and promptly. All of the gauges work, although the gas gauge is slightly off. Underneath you will notice that there are traces of original paint and you will also be able to notice that the car is very original and remains quite clean. When it comes to being a nice survivor, there are plenty of other features that make this car great because it's care over the years. For example, it retains the original engine pans, original metal spring gators, the Cadillac service badge on the pillar, a working "pop out" ignition switch, excellent & original Fisher-embossed door sill trim plates, along with original hardware & fasteners throughout. With all that being said, come take a look at this beautiful car, because it definitely won't be sticking around for long!
