1965 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud III, This is a lovely,
well-maintained car in honest and original condition.
Two southern California owners from new. The odometer reads just
53,996 genuine miles from new of which 42 K. was driven in-between
1965 though 1969 and only 12k. miles from 1969 to present, by its
last owner. The body is finished in a elegant silver sand over
sable with original Connelly leather biscuit/bone interior. It is
pleasingly attractive and presentable, though it is showing signs
of use and has a couple of small dings and a few scratches, but
zero rust. Which is nothing that detracts from its good looks.
Realistically it could use a repaint which in turn will rocket the
$ value of this car. The exterior chrome is in very nice order,
original and straight. The prominent stainless radiator shell is
also in very good condition.
The best part of the Silver Cloud experience is the sumptuous
interior. This car’s original biscuit/bone leather has never been
re-dyed and is very supple, yes it needs Connelly dying which we
have not completed yet to show its originality. (Some buyers may
want original un dyed leather which suits this type of car so
well.) The original carpeting appears to be in very good order. The
extensive wood trim is totally original and is nicely presented
with an honest, moderate patina. It is equipped with electric
windows, power steering, power brakes, factory air conditioning and
an AM/FM stereo.
The Cloud III is the most desirable of the Silver Cloud series. The
big SmoothV8 of the Cloud III breaths through large 2” S.U.
carburetors and the GM-derived transmission is smooth and very
durable. vin # LSGT 377
