In 1941 the Ford car got a major redesign just in time for World War II. The design was aborted in early 1942 due to civilian production having been suspended during the war and then restated in 1946. For the first few weeks of production the 47 Ford was identical to the 46 and then Ford restyled the body slightly by moving the parking lights from above the grill to below each headlight. There was also the removal of the red accents from the grill and the two small lights located just above it. This model of Ford continued very successfully until 1948 when it was replaced by the 1949 Ford which was the first all-new automobile design introduced by the Big Three auto manufacturers after World War II.This fantastic Street Rod boasts a gorgeous custom green and silver flamed exterior. It has nice color matched 15 inch wheels with dish centers wrapped in Hankook Optimo H724 Tires. Power front disc brakes and power steering make it a joy to drive.Under the Louvered steel hood is a nicely tuned 350ci Small Block Chevy engine paired to a Turbo 350 Automatic transmission sending power to a GM 10-Bolt axle and housing. A Holley Street Dominator aluminum intake custom air cleaner HEI ignition Aluminum pulleys finned aluminum valve covers and Steel braided cables dress the engine. Ceramic coated headers linked to a dual exhaust finish with twin tailpipes out the rear.Inside this Street Rod is a beautiful custom tan interior. All new Auto Meter white face gauges and a Dual AM/FD/CD player fill the custom tan dash. A billet three spoke steering wheel sits atop a nicely chromed tilt steering column. Standing proud in the custom built auto center console is a B&M automatic floor shifter. Aftermarket heat and air conditioning provide a comfortable temperature.This is a wonderfully done Street Rod a bit of modern blended with a stylish classic.
