This 1970 Alfa Romeo Berlina 1750 comes to us from Italy after having been in long term storage for 30+ years (hence the incredibly low original mileage). This car has 14,963 original kilometers (9,297 miles)!! The car was inspected by our specialists in Italy and anything needed was taken care of prior to shipping to us. This particular car received a thorough detailing and a major tune up including new battery, all new fluids including radiator and engine oil and filter.
The car was built September 24, 1970 and first registered September 30, 1970 in Reggio di Calabria. It was taken in as a trade in by an Alfa Romeo dealer over 30 years ago, placed into storage and not offered for resale. We purchased this car and 19 others as a lot from the estate of that individual. This is a 1 owner car that comes with original plates and documents. Truly impressive example of the most collectable year.
The 1970 Berlina features the sensuous dual cowl dash layout and sexy arrangement of 4 auxiliary gauges on the console. The carburetted version of the 1750 Alfa engine is perhaps the best of the series offering excellent mid range and a lively, free revving top end readily exploited by the slick 5-speed gearbox.
The body is straight and rust free, all original, with very good paint finish. Truly a remarkable example of one of the most desireable and fun-to-drive sport sedan ever to arrive from Italy.
