For Sale: 1966 Chevrolet Nova II in O'Fallon, Illinois

Vehicle Description

This 1966 Chevrolet II Nova is for sale in our Detroit showroom. The Chevy Nova went through a significant restyle in 66. With new lower body sheet metal and a faster looking streamline roof gave credit to the huge increase in sales. Unfortunately a convertible version was never offered which many feel was a huge mistake at least that's how the current owner felt. The car started life as a 6 cylinder but it was a SS model giving it the bucket seats and console mounted shifter. The hardtop was chopped with the underneath being reinforced ensuring the body lines would stay straight and true. With all new pans put in as well the underneath if this red rocket is as clean as they get. The frontend was also tied in with the extra support going to the shock tower making the chassis a lot more rigid. With the fabrication work done the body was prepped and ready for paint. The red was laid down nice and smooth and looks like glass on the nicely prepared panels. The next decision was what motor to go with, ofcourse with as small as the Chevy II's are you do not need a ton of motor in order to get adequate performance. Having that said a 305 was sourced but instead of dropping it in there was some modifications that need to be done. Starting with a much healthier cam, which not only gave it a huge increase in power, but the sound of the loping exhaust sounds amazing. With an Edelbrock intake topped off with a Holley 4 barrel this Chevy II has definitely earned its SS badgeing. With the car having no top the new interior would have to be just as nice as the exterior. With that in mind a set of freshly covered bucket seats were installed with a factory console separating them. Ofcourse the best part of that SS package is the chrome shifter that controls the 4 speed is mounted in that console as well giving the little Chevy II a very sporty feel. Tying it all together is the red vinyl bench seat that finishes off the interior perfectly. With all that work done a custom toneau cover was made just in case you do get caught out in the rain. Ofcourse it is not designed for permanent storage use outside but if you're at a car show and it does begin to rain you will glad you had it. Options on this 1966 Chevy II Nova SS Roadster include; AM/FM/CD, Power Brakes, Rally Wheels, Vinyl Interior and Radial Tires.
