And arguably the C-3 design when it came out was truly was ahead of its time with its radically shaped fenders, front end and gill like front fenders that resembled a Mako Shark. Also new was the completely re-designed interior that featured a multiple gauge cluster in the center and large round dials in front of the driver for the speedometer and matching tachometer. And another first was a fiber-optic system that monitored exterior lights.

From the factory this came with the 4-Speed close ratio manual transmission, 3.7 positraction rear end, E21 glass, AM/FM radio, tilt and telescopic steering wheel and installed after was the power steering for better comfort while driving.
