Vehicle Description
1957 Panhard Dyna Z
ID # 1038497
As one of the two oldest manufactures of automobiles in the world, Panhard and Levassor of Paris presented in early 1954 a new Dyna model called the 54 and 56. Constructed of aluminum and having a total weight of 1630 Lbs, even lighter than a VW of the time. There were very few cars that had the combination of interior room, trunk space, styling, and most importantly the power plant that was performance based. With four doors and two large bench seats it was well suited as a family car. Being a light car and having a 50 Bhp two cylinder engine gave enough power along with plenty of fuel economy to make this unique front wheel drive car desirable to the American market.
