This 1969 Ford Ranchero GT Clone is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The Ranchero was adapted from a two door station wagon platform which integrated the cab and cargo bed out of one piece. It was successful enough that GM actually went into the market building their own coupe utility, the El Camino. Though not intended to be a sporty vehicle the Ranchero, as with any 60's production vehicle, became known as a pretty quick little UTE as the Aussie's love to call them. Starting off on the falcon platform the little ranchero was just that, little. However all of this would change in 68 with the all new and totally redesigned Torino/Fairlane. The 68 Ranchero would be built on this new and much larger platform. This particular Ranchero is an absolute gem with its Dark Blue Metallic paint being so deep that it almost appears black. The silver stripe accents the body lines nicely and gives the UTE a much sportier look. The grabber hood scoop is black and gives a great contrast against the period correct Dark Metallic Blue paint code X. Pop the hood and you will see what is believed to be the original 302 under the hood. The 2 barrel carb has been replaced with a much needed 4 barrel giving the Ranchero a huge gain in the HP department. The bed of this 69 is in excellent condition with the rubber mat used to not only keep things in place but also to protect the beautiful finish. Open the door and you will see a very clean interior that has been completely redone. The black bucket seats look great and stay with the sporty feel. The wood steering wheel is a nice touch and keeps with the period correct theme.
