For Sale: 1932 Ford Roadster in Colorado Springs, Colorado

Vehicle Description

Absolutely beautiful 1932 Ford Roadster Hot Rod. Unlike most modern day street rods, this car has a clear Colorado, previously Florida, title. And it is titled as a 1932 Ford. This IS NOT a "kit car" or a replica. It is a government titled, 1932 Ford Roadster, and it could be yours.

Are you tired of the cliche, billet laden land yachts that attempt to be hot rods these days? This car looks like a Hot Rod. Sounds like a Hot Rod. And runs like a Hot Rod. It is the driving definition of a Hot rod.

This car is not a show car. Although it could be a show car fairly easily. This car is driven several times per week and is perfectly reliable. It rides and handles as it should. EVERYBODY on the street notices this car and they smile and wave. Even soccer moms and their children notice and comment on this car. What a blast to arrive at work in this machine.

This car was built with love and respect for tradition. It starts with very strong boxed 1932 frame rails with a substantial tube framed X member. It has a triangulated 4 bar with coil over suspension in the rear, and Pete & Jakes designed 4 bar suspension in the front. It has a very authentic, high quality fiberglass body with a working cowl vent, traditional door hinges, and an original styled firewall. This body is very convincing, and it fools even veteran hot rodders.  It has stainless steel headlamps and '39 Ford tail lamps with glass blue dots.

This car has custom Hot Rod Yellow paint with tasteful and traditional hand painted pin striping on the dash, sides, and trunk. The body, chassis, engine block, plus all un-chromed suspension/driveline pieces, are professionally painted to match the body. This hot rod looks as good underneath as it does from above. It has stunning build quality. Very few street machines have this level of detailing and craftsmanship. The top has a quick removal design and was custom built by Rod Tops.

The interior has classic naugahyde upholstery. It has traditional gauges & shifter plus a tilt steering column. The interior has a brand new 1940 Ford steering wheel. The car features a motorized trunk door that encloses a professionally upholstered trunk.

This hot rod runs a 350 cubic inch, 340 horsepower Chevy small block engine with a Turbo 350 Chevy three speed automatic transmission. The engine features a custom vintage tri-power carb intake, worth $1700 that sits on an Edelbrock intake manifold.  It has Edelbrock Aluminum heads with 64cc chambers and 2.02 intake valves.  It has black headers to give it that authentic hot rod look and hot rod sound. We also installed custom aluminum racing brackets to hold the low mount, high output chrome alternator.

This car has an 8" Ford rear end with a brand new third member featuring a TracLoc, posi-traction carrier and 3.80 gears. This third member was built by a professional drag racing mechanic.

This car features an all new chrome front end with the following features:
Brand New Chrome Super Bell I-Beam, 4'" drop axle
Brand New Chrome Tie Rod with new polished stainless steel rod ends
Brand New Chrome Drag Link with new polished stainless steel rod ends
Brand New Chrome Multi Leaf Spring with polyurethane sliders for silent performance
Brand New Chrome Pete & Jakes Steering Dampener
Brand New Chrome Spindles
Brand New Chrome Steering Arms
Brand New Calipers, Brake Pads, and Caliper Mounts
Brand new Rotors
Chrome Shocks
Chrome Four Bar Control Arms

The car has a brand new rack and pinion steering set up.  It handles and tracks beautifully.

In addition to the all new front brakes included with the new front end, this car has a brand new master cylinder, brand new hard lines, and new rear shoes and hardware. The brake fluid was flushed twice and was re-filled with new DOT4 fluid. Also new this year are the American Racing Torque Thrust wheels, and brand new tires . These, with the complete new front end, have only about 1000 miles on them. Plus all of the suspension bushings have been replaced with brand new Pete & Jakes urethane bushings in the spring of 2015.

Originally built in 2004. It has undergone an extensive makeover this past year. You are buying a car that will give you years and years of trouble free mileage, and smiles that might never stop.

I hate to see this car go. I am only selling it to finance a racing endeavor for my son and myself.

This car is a one of a kind beauty. It is being offered for sale as is, where is. I will be happy to assist the buyer with shipping if able. I may even deliver the car to the buyer if the distance, or cost, is not too great. However, shipping remains the responsibility of the buyer.
