For Sale: 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 in Branson, Missouri

Vehicle Description

This Camaro features a DZ coded, 302/290hp race inspired small block with Muncie, M-22 ROCK CRUSHER, close ratio transmission. It has the correct 12 bolt, 4.10 posi-traction rear axle. The restoration features EVERY correct casting and date coded item. It has been reconditioned by some of the best names in the business. Starting with a correct X77 coded base Z/28, built in the Norwood, OH assembly plant during the first week of May, 1969 . Painted in its correct fathom green exterior and standard green interior, this car started its restoration in 2005 and took 3.5 years to complete. The body was completely stripped, new NOS full rear quarter panels leaded at the factory sail panel locations and correctly spot welded back into place with the rear inner fender wells. The body was then prepped for paint and expertly sprayed at a cost of $14K. The engine was assembled with a 4-11-69 cast 3956618 engine block that was returned to original condition with the addition of a +.030 bore factory forged 11:1 domed pistons and forged steel crankshaft. A Duntov 30/30 solid lifter camshaft with .485 valve lift, completes the engine's factory specs. Correct cylinder heads were also reconditioned to factory specs. It comes with a complete listing of every part number, serial number and date coded engine bay component. The legendary M22 4 speed corresponds to the VIN on the car. Only 2,117 Camaros in 1969 featured this transmission out of a total 18 month production run of 243,085 Camaros. The original intake manifold was restored by Z/28 expert Jerry MacNeish.

New chambered exhaust, all new brake components, (featuring stainless steel lines) and new emergency brake cables were used for looks, sound and durability. New stainless steel fuel lines were run from the tank to fuel pump. New suspension bushings and components as well as original reproduction spiral shock absorbers, complete the undercarriage detail powder coated sub-frame. This car was sold new through Kidder-Knoepfler Chevrolet in Sioux City, IA, which is still in business today. This is one of the most sought after and legendary cars of the muscle car era. It has been a multiple time GOLD Award winner at Camaro Fest in Kansas City, MO. The owner's manual, sales literature, price guide, warranty card and wheel trim ring instructions accompany this car.
