Having been painted in May of 2012, the body features a fresh coat of white with the addition of Mach 1 black stripes that run the length of the body. You'll notice right away that the top is in fantastic shape as it was replaced in 2012 also. The paint is nice, it has all of the important stuff, adding a chin spoiler, twin black hood stripes, and a wing on the trunk lid, made for one heck of a good-looking Mustang! It is quite possible that the interior is entirely original, and with high-back bucket seats, it's still a great place to do some serious driving. The blue upholstery does show a some age, but nothing that you wouldn't expect to find in a classic car, and it still shows really nicely. A center console dresses up the shifter so it's not just sticking out of the transmission tunnel, and what are believed to be the original set of blue floor mats compliment the steering wheel wrap. The dash radio bezel has been replaced and you now find an upgraded AM/FM radio system. The carpet is in fantastic shape, and the trunk is outfitted with a space-saver spare. Add in features like working air conditioning, power steering, power brakes and a power convertible top, and you have an incredible place to log miles from.
Pop the hood and you'll be hit by the famous FoMoCo Blue, covering a 302ci 2V V8. You won't find any structural issues on the shock towers that are common on these early 70s mustangs. A recent freshening of the engine saw the addition of a new fuel pump, voltage regulator, exhaust, battery, alternator, and even front wheel bearings. Bolted to the engine is an automatic transmission that is ready for highway cruising. Stopping power comes courtesy of power brakes that sit behind 14" Magnum 500 wheels, wrapped in 205/75R14 redline rubber.
