Chevrolet Malibu
"The 1964 Chevelle/Malibu was upright in style and conventional in
engineering, the A-bodied 1964 Chevrolet Chevelle was closer in
size and shape to the "classic" 1955-1957 Chevys -- and a response
to Ford's recently introduced Fairlane. Curved side glass was one
of its few special features, but a Chevelle was nearly as roomy as
an Impala. Chevelles came in two series, the 300 and fancier
Malibu. Engine choices included 194 and 230 cubic-inch sixes, a 195
HP 283-cubic-inch V-8, and a 220 HP version of the 283 with dual
exhausts and four-barrel carburetor."

For sale by owner is this very nice restored '64 Malibu. (please
let all the picture load ( there are over 120 ) to see the great
condition of this classic Chevy. We don't know all the details of
what was done over the years, what follows is what we do know. The
car started life with a V-8 engine, 2 speed powerglide transmission
and the rare factory air conditioning option. The original engine
is long gone and has been replaced with a 350 Chevy crate engine,
the original transmission has been replaced with a Muncie 4-speed
manual and the original a/c has been replaced with a modern Vintage
air unit. The body was repainted in the early 2000's, the interior
was done at the same time and it had a beautiful, recently
completed undercarriage, engine compartment and trunk restoration.�

Not a body off restoration, but very nicely done. All features are
fully operational and it runs terrific.
