If you’re looking for a second generation Camaro that you can drive and enjoy, with plenty of power where it counts, look no further than this eye-catching 1980 Camaro.
This Camaro features a brand new GMPP 350 CID V-8 crate motor with less than 2,000 miles. No slouch on the road, it generates an impressive 290 horsepower and 326 ft/lbs. of torque. This powertrain also features cast iron heads, powdered metal connecting rods, aluminum pistons and pins, and a cast iron nodular crankshaft. Other performance enhancements include the following:
• Edelbrock Performer intake manifold
• Edelbrock Performer 600 cfm 4-barrel carburetor
• Mr. Gasket intake gaskets
• ARP intake bolts
• Aluminum valve covers
• Jegs HEI distributor
• Jegs HEI coil
• Dual exhaust with dual catalytic converters
The engine is mated to the original three-speed automatic transmission which has had its pump and torque converter rebuilt within the last 2,000 miles. It runs and drives as well as it looks.
Finished in Hugger Orange, this crowd pleaser’s finish has a nice luster. Minor imperfections in the finish do not detract from the overall appearance of the car. The exterior is further enhanced by new tires, custom chrome wheels, a rear spoiler, and stainless steel dual exhaust tips.
The interior is equally sporty, featuring Black vinyl bucket seats and a center console that are in very good condition. The carpet and headliner are new, and the rest of the original interior shows very well, with only minor wear evident. You’ll also appreciate its tachometer and auxiliary gauges and new Alpine AM/FM stereo with CD and new speakers. In addition to power steering and power front disc brakes, this car also features a rear window defogger and air conditioning that has been converted to R-134a. All power options work as they should.
In addition to all receipts and records relating to the mechanical updates to this Camaro, included with sale are the rear window louvers and the original exhaust manifold.
If a get-in-and-go second generation Camaro with the looks and power to match is what you desire, this 1980 Camaro is the one for you!
