This 1967 Ford Mustang Convertible was built May 16th, 1967 in Metuchen, NJ and was originally delivered in Atlanta. Prior to restoration, the car bode its time in Georgia and subsequently, lived a rust free life. This lucky Mustang was treated to very deserving nut and bolt restoration and the results are killer. The car was taken down to bare metal and finished in correct Candy Apple Red over a Red Crinkle standard interior. The new paint job is a base coat, clear coat finish that has a deep luster and shine to it. All of the chrome trim has been replaced and all of the stainless has been polished. All of the lenses are new and the top is new as well. The car sports a very rare tail panel louver that Ford offered on select 1967 Mustangs. One look underneath and this car is obviously as nice on the bottom as it is on the top. The floorboards have been finished in a nice coat of semi gloss black paint and all of the suspension components were detailed upon reassembly. The Pony car is a solid 2 and can be driven to shows. The car rides on a completely rebuilt suspension and a totally restored brake system. The suspension is totally stock, so the car rides just like a 1967 Mustang would have ridden right off the showroom floor when they were new. The wheels are new Magnum 500s and the tires are a slick set of Redline Polyglass reproductions. The car is smooth a silk on on the highway and great around town as well. The 289 motor was rebuilt during the restoration and has been detailed out per original specification. The engine bay is immaculately tidy and features factory correct finishes, hoses, and wiring. A comfort feature added during the restoration was a modern AC system that pumps out ice cold air for those hot summer months. The transmission is the classic Ford C4 automatic and the rear and gearing is 3 to 1 with the limited slip option. For the Ford enthusiast looking for a cruisable show car, this 1967 Mustang Convertible is the business.
