This car was built from a 1936 ALL STEEL, RUST FREE 40,000 MILE coupe which has spent its whole life in Albany, OR. Oregon does not salt its highways and some years snow is irregular on the west side of the Cascades, and it is not uncommon to have no snow at all. The 36 underwent a full restoration keeping the body relatively stock with a stock grey cloth interior. The spare tire and the mounting bracket was removed and any indentation was cut out and replaced with a fabricated steel configurator to match the lines of the trunk. The stalk type taillights were removed and replaced with recessed ‘40 Ford lites. The wooden roof was filled in with steel and painted blending seamlessly in with the darkish maroon paint with flames. The magenta ghost flames were drawn and painted by an Albany stripe shop. The original gas spout was recessed into the fender and covered with a gas door. An LT1 Chevy supplies the power through a 9” inch rear-end with 3.56 gears, giving it quite a snap. There are hood holders which will hold the hood up at chosen levels. Magenta lights in the engine compartment produce a eerie glow through the hood slots. The gear mechanism of the retained crank open and shut windshield was repaired and blows the hot air out of the cars so efficiently that most of the time use of the Antique Air conditioning is not required. For those who prefer the interior to be cold enough to freeze meat on the front seat, the air conditioner will get it that cold. The car has Chrysler independent front suspension power steering, power brakes and premium wheels with caps and also spinner caps. THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL CAR THAT EXUDES QUALITY CONSTRUCTION.Only quality parts were used in its construction. The underside is clean and visually pleasant. It draws the eyes of all who see it. It has been gingerly driven 10,000 miles by the last owner and myself. The coupe has been garaged since it was built. Never smoked in nor driven by anyone under 60. I have not been able to drive it this or last summer because my arthritis and bone disease causes me to have great difficulty getting in and out. This coupe require No apologies. This car is pristine. It has never been raced nor suffered a fender bender. Rust free 36 coupes are getting scarce and prices are skyrocketing. From what I see at the auctions, this is a good buy. You will be a proud owner. If for any reason you wanted to sell it drive it over to Barrett/Jackson’s or Mecum and you could likely double your money. I also have a custom made black bra, head light covers, and bumper covers. $45,000.00 OBO INTERESTING TRADES OR PARTIAL TRADES CONSIDERED.
